who is that?

Once the performance is ready to go into the theatre for a Dress Rehearsal, which is a rehearsal in the theatre with the proper costumes, sets, lights and sound, the most important person is the Stage Manager (SM). It is this person who is in charge of the show once it reaches this point. The Stage Manager is the person who co-ordinates all the facets of the show including sound, lighting and scenery changes as well as being responsible for giving the actors their calls and ensuring that the show runs smoothly. In large productions the stage manager may delegate some of their duties to an Assistant Stage Manger (ASM).

Lighting and Sound Technicians are the people who control the lights and amplification during the show.

Stage Hands are the people who move the sets and operate the theatrical equipment, such as, the flies.

The Props Person is the person who has the job of finding all the props needed for the performance, collating them all together and ensuring that all the props remain on the props table, (unless they are being used on stage!)

The Wardrobe Person has the job of creating or collating the costumes for the actors to wear. They also have to look after the costumes and ensure that they are clean, pressed and ready to wear on stage.
